Let the Weekend Begin!

Is everyone ready for the long weekend?  I know I am!

Allan and I are going to our friend's for a BBQ and to watch the Champions League Final on Saturday which should be a lot fun....although fingers crossed it doesn't rain!  Then on Sunday we are heading to Hampton Court Palace for a Food Festival which should be a lot of fun. Really looking forward to it for two reasons, 1) I've never been to Hampton Court Palace and 2) there's going to be lots of yummy food to try there.

We don't have anything planned for Monday which I think is a good thing, a little down time to relax.

Wednesday = Hump Day!

Well, we are almost half through the week, which means that the weekend is right around the corner and a long one to boot! I got a lovely text from Matt today letting me know that Ceri and baby will be homeward bound real soon which is very exciting.  I just can't wait to meet the precious addition to the family!

I've got some pics to post from a couple of weekends ago when Allan and I went to Vinopolis for some fun wine tasting and when we went to the Dulwich Fair with friends. (There are also some randoms thrown in for good measure.)

What I woke up to on Saturday morning = adorable stinker.

I love how the sky's colouring made the perfect backdrop for the National Portrait Gallery.

I have sooooo many more photos that I need to download from my phone and put up here!  I should try to put a few up everyday and maybe I will get through a good chunk of the good ones.

It's Friday!

I love Fridays because they are the gatekeeper to the weekend.  And don't get me started on how much I love weekends.

Last night we met up with some friends at our local pub which was really nice.  One of those evenings that are unplanned but turned out fantastically.  Those are usually the best!  Plus, we ran into some good friends who are expecting like now!  She actually went into labour today which is so exciting! Can't wait to meet that baby.  Oh yeah and how can I forget that Jason Statham was also there enjoying the festivities, well maybe he wasn't exactly at our table but you get the picture.

This weekend is definitely going to be a quiet one for us since we managed to fit two weekends worth of things to do into last weekend.  It was a fantastic one without a doubt! On Friday we went over to our friend's for a lovely BBQ (this is the expecting couple's home), on Saturday we went wine tasting at Vinopolis which was a lot fun.  We had a nice wander around Borough Market before heading for the wine.  Then on Sunday I made an American brunch for some friends which was very successful! After that we were in luck for a nice walk in the park because the Dulwich Fair was happening which made for some nice scenery.

So the above is why this weekend will be a chillaxed one...need a little downtime.  Plus it's Formula 1 this weekend in Barcelona so we will definitely be watching that.

Howdy! I do believe that is has literally been years since I've written on this blog....talk about a big slacker!!! That would be me.
