Lovely Saturday

After returning late Friday night from our trip to Bath I literally fell into bed and passed out.  I can't remember being so tired, I think between not getting enough sleep and trudging around all day in the rain on Friday it took it out of me. I woke up refreshed on Saturday and so glad that I did because Allen and Steph were in town from Austin. It was so lovely to see them as it had been ages! We met up at the Tate Modern for a bit and then headed to dinner.  What a lovely unplanned day!

Allen and Steph - their first trip to London town!

Allen checking out the Beach Huts that are down on the South Bank right now.

How cool is that?!? A sand couch!

It was so lovely to see the two of them! I love when friends from home visit.  Can't wait for our trip home in November!!

Bath

Here are some photos from Bath which we visited on July 7th and 8th.  I can't enough wonderful things about this town. If you have the chance definitely visit!

Allan at the Roman Baths

I love this place in the Roman Baths - people have thrown loads of coins in there so it's got a beautiful shimmery quality.

At dinner at Hudson Bar and Grill...Awesome steak!

At Sally Lunn's for a Bath Bun...so yum!

Outside of Sally Lunn's - historical note: the house that houses Sally Lunn's is the oldest house in Bath dating back to 1492, I believe.

Beer Garden - I absolutely loved this bar! My favourite in England.

Just one of many cute passageways.

I really liked this square and the tree in it.

Just a few snippets from our Friday Night Zoo Late and the London Zoo.  It was a lot of fun and I would do it again, preferably on dry night!

I've Been Away Too Long...

First off the Elimination Diet/ Detox:  After a full week of following the elimination diet and careful consideration we decided to just stick with that diet and not do the detox at this time. There were a lot of factors that helped us come to this decision and it just made sense for us to do it this way at this time. My main reason for wanting to do the detox in the first place was to get healthy and lose some weight and I think that with elimination diet I am achieving all of the above.  I feel amazing, have so much more energy, have already lost some weight and all in all just think that this lifestyle change has been the best thing for me. I believe that if I continue to eat the way that I have been (allowing for the occasional splurge) and exercise I will be on my way to my perfect weight.  It may take a few months but I am so excited at the prospect of getting there! It's just crazy how much better you can feel just by changing the way you eat. I've lost a total of 11 pounds since starting 3 weeks ago which I think is pretty awesome.

Now onto other things....I will just post some pics in a few different posts to show what we've been up to since I don't want to bore you with all of the details. Love y'all!

The first two pics are of our stinker Raymond.

How cute is he?!?!
